Yesterday 05.09.2017. started to prepare the MOK UMAGO -. CPM UMAGO for the next volleyball season in the second national league west, the third in this category since the club’s launch (2012). Last year the club finished the season with the excellent first place (out of 6 teams) won the championship of the 2 national west league with which he earned the right to participate in qualifying for the first national league. As a result and a huge result, as this was the second season of play in the league in which they militate teams with much more experience and a tradition of volleyball much bigger than our club.
However, the club presidency and the executive committee all then more considered that it is not yet the right time to make a leap of the league, and that the primary objective is work on expanding the base, that is, working with young people, because except for the seniors and cadets this year we have 20 young cadets who train and this year will also play the inter-regional league and several cadets (junior of this year) will become part of the team senior.
The composition of the team for this season has not changed, we continue from where we left with the same roster, as regards the first team, with a year more experience and a pair of new juniors (last year they already tasted presences in the first team)
This makes us very happy because it means that the club is doing well and more and more young people are approaching volleyball. This is also thanks to the camps organized this summer (by our club and the women’s volleyball club Melia Hotel). Thanks in any case to our coach Dragan Salapura,and Ivica Radočaj Team Coach of the women’s team
