Winner of the international tournament “Bring IT Promotion’s OPEN 2019” held in Umag, 21-22.05.2019. on the field’s of Stella Maris-Vila Rita, are the girls from Cyprus, a couple Mariota / Zoyia.
In two days we had the chance to attend top beach volleyball. The girls from 4 countries and two continents and 12 teams, provided us with fantastic and uncertain matches that ended in the third set.
So today’s final went to the third set, and it was uncertain until the end. In the final, took part a team from Cyprus Mariota / Zoyia and the American team, Hallgren / Slater. Better were girls from Cyprus with a score of 2: 1 in sets (21:19, 20:22, 15:11).
In addition to 6 US teams from University of South California, USC, the tournament was attended by 1 team from Cyprus, 3 from Hungary and 2 from Croatia. Even though they came to Umag, they have for the last time left 2 teams, 1 from Cyprus and 1 American team.
Croatia was represented by one team from Pula, part of Dunja Milin and Erika Drviš, and one local volleyball team from Umag, composed by Nina Finderle and Lora Beliga.
Beachvolley fans could enjoy the top-of-the-range moves and uncertain matches these days.
With this, the city of Umag once again proved to be recognized also in the world as one of the center of beach volleyball.
With its organization, together with the city’s institutions, the Umag Tourist Board and the Umag Volleyball Club (MOK UMAG-CPM UMAGO), and its foreign partner, Bring IT Promotion, has again demonstrated its readiness and knowledge in the organization of international tournaments.
Now, during the summer, are other tournaments, and again from 31.07. to 02.08. an international tournament that will include 6 US teams from UCLA and 6 European teams. More about it in the coming period
