PRESNTATION OF VOLLEYBALL IN CROATIAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL “MARIJA I LINA” UMAG
Today 08. March 2018. MOK UMAG-CPM UMAGO, in collaboration with the Croatian primary school Marija and Lina, has made a presentation of volleyball as a sport, for the first to fourth grade students.MOK Umag-CPM Umag for the third consecutive year, holds a volleyball presentation twice a year in primary schools in Umag, as expected in the club’s annual work programs. During the presentation, were shown the basics of the technique of this sport. The aim of the presentation is to bring this sport closer to our youngsters, since in the last 15 years this sport has become increasingly involved in the sports family of the city of Umag. Except for the women’s volleyball club OK Umag-CP Umag, in our city for 7 years is active too, the men’s volleyball club MOK UMAG-CPM UMAGO, which together already have more than 160 members of all ages. These presentations have the task of pedagogical work with younger generations, because in today’s highly developed society, sport has become a categorical imperative, which has a direct impact on the social, economic and community health profile. This promotion confirms the efforts of Umag, after the appointment by the European Commission, the European Capital of Sport for 2018, to allow all its citizens the practice of sport in order to build a healthy lifestyle and athletic development .The presentation was conducted by our expert coach (MOK UMAGO – CPM UMAGO), Mr. Dragan Salapura, in the presence of lower grade teachers in elementary school.Thanks to this, we would like to thank principals Mr. Mato Vidović and the teachers who have been available (as every year) to help this initiative.
