DOUBLE TITLE OF THE SERBE TEAMS IN UMAG ON CROATIAN BEACHVOLLEY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Umag, 23-24.6.18. in the two days of the tournament there were 24 couples from all over Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia. The best in the finals were the Serbian couples in women’s and men’s competitions.
In the tourist resort of Stella Maris on a complex of 4 fields led to the elimination during the Saturday while on Sunday they performed the best, and the best in the semifinals and finals.
In the battle for third place the Croatian couple Luna and Mirna Bečić lost against the pair from Serbia Skaric Nina and Maja Radovic 1: 2 (21:18, 18:21, 11:15).
The women’s final on the beach volleyball courts of Umag with the full stands, played the Croatian couple, composed by Sara Radanovic and Tjasa Jančar, losing from the Serbian copy composed by Nataša Savovic and Katerina Raičević for 0: 2 (18:21, 18: 21).
The third place in the men’s tournament was won by the Croatian couple Filip Silić and Josip Pribanic, winners of last week in Novalja, who needed three sets to win the couple from Serbia, Marko Radosavljevic and Luca Guteša. 2: 1 (17:21; 21:13; 18:16).
The final in the men’s competition, won by Alexander Gavrilov and Milos Milić from Serbia, was a real triler, against the promising young Slovenian couple, composed by Žiga Kumer and Rok Možic 2: 1 (21:18, 19:21, 15: 9).
The cup and medals for the best women’s teams were presented by the Deputy Mayor of Umag, Mr. Mauro Jurman. Mr. Damir Radeljić, president of the Beach Volleyball Board of the Croatian Volleyball Association (HOS), handed over the checks with the prize money
At the best men’s teams in Umag the medals and the cup were handed over by Valentina Bifflin, the director of the HOS, volleyball federation Corata.
It is interesting that the tournament played on 4 field’s in Umag, and was attended by 40 children in the role of co-organizers and collectors balls, all members of clubs OK Umag and MOK UAMG. This information says that Umag has earned the title of one of the best tournaments organized this season.
