VOLLEYBALL SCHOOL – BOYS
MOK Umag-CPM Umago , which was founded in the year 2011 on the constitutional Assembly, on 2015 began regular work with young boy’s, continues slowly expand their ranks among the youth. We all know that in the city where the tradition of playing team sports primarily in handball (with the tradition of 65 years), is very challenging to promote some new sport and to get closer to young people. However, the MOK UMAG-CPM UMAGO for the third year in a row, slowly growing and spreads among young people. The Club currently counts 12 participants of the volleyball school and 17 younger cadets, which is an enviable number, and an increase in year-on-year. At the Club we are very proud of the work of the whole staff, led by our head coach Dragan Salapurom and members of the Board of the Club, who are at the end of last season, made a decision of not joining the senior team in 1 natioonal league (after winning a titles of 2 national league West) in a higher rank competitions, rather than to turn to work with young people and expand the base of the Club. Accordingly, the results are visible and the growth of the number of children that are slowly accepts this new sport are growth. Slowly but surely, with the quality work of the profession, is visible to the progress of the Club and it just confirms the correctness of the decision of the Board of the Club. These decisions should certainly aim to pedagogical work with younger generations, because in today’s high evolution society, the sport has become a categorical imperative that has a direct impact on the social, economic and health benefits and the image of the community.
This is the only confirmed the efforts of our Club MOK UMAG-CPM UMAGO and the town of Umag, after nomination by the European Commission, the European city of sport for the year 2018, to allow all their fellow citizens to sport (of your choice) in order to build healthy ways of living and sporting progress.
After the two-and-a-half years, we can say with pride that we are on the right and prosper way, and that should continue in that direction, to promote as much as possible among the young generations, this sport, which is otherwise in the world by its growing volume of as a team sport, on the 1st place.
