Just 7 years ago, on 06.12.2011. a group of enthusiasts and of volleyball and beach volleyball, founded the men’s volleyball club Umag-Umago (MOK UMAG-CPM UMAGO), on the foundation assemble, originally as the KOP UMAGO-BVC UMAGO, and in 2015 changed its name in MOK UMAG-CPM UMAGO. During these 7 years of existence, we have done a lot for men’s volleyball, and beachvolley, which we are very proud of, and grateful to all those who have contributed to this. From the organization of various tournaments, summer and winter (8 summer Umag OPEN and 10 winter Umag Open, and the following year in January we have the 11th, where we expect about 60 teams), the organization of competitions friendlies of the national women’s team, the basic school of volleyball, start of competitions for seniors, juniors ,, cadets, young cadets in the inter-regional league, the organization of summer camps of beachvolley, in addition to winning the national seniors title of 2 West national league in the 2016/17 season, and in the 2017/18 season, qualifying for the 1/8 finals of the Croatian cup 2018. This year 2018, we organized the Croatian beach volley championship Croatia Open 2018. The main objective of the club in its work is to work above all with young people, and we have therefore decided these last two years to stay in 2 league (even if we have had the opportunity to play in the national prime league) to give to young people the opportunity to play in the senior team this year and to expand the base of the young cadets and cadets . Today, the club has 49 active members of all age and it is particularly nice to see that every year, slowly but surely, we receive new young members who join volleyball. All this would not have been possible if there were not the people who founded the club, whose enthusiasm and passion have started all this, with the strong support of the city and its institutions, which have recognized the work of the club, and in the end, of all those who joined in the work, players and coaches who contributed to the realization of this project.This is why I congratulate and thank all club members (both current and former) and employees.
